Help HLHS regroup

Friends,

Heart of Louisiana Humane Society has served Winnfield and Winn Parish, Louisiana, for 8 years. We are a 100% volunteer organization, funded completely by donations. Our ability to save abandoned animals increased exponentially when we partnered with our municipal shelter, a partnership which enabled us to save over 5000 animals in the past few years. That partnership came to an abrupt end a few days ago, leaving HLHS without space to house animals. We will continue to rescue animals, but without a home base to work from, it will be much more difficult.

We have relied on a foster network along with space at the shelter, but to move forward we must have our own space. Our goal is to buy a piece of land and build our own facility. In order to save the most animals possible, we need to break ground by the end of the year.
