URGENT EMERGENCY Funding Campaign ~ 7/20/2016
My Dear Family, Friends and Bernie Sanders Supporters ~
Yesterday, the Bernie Sanders 2016 campaign selected me as an Pledged At-Large Alternate Delegate just four days prior to the start of the Democratic National Committee Convention in Philadelphia which is July 24-28. Unfortunately a Pledged At-Large Delegate dropped out on Monday and was replaced with an Alternate Delegate.
Despite such short notice, I wholeheartedly accepted the honor to serve Senator Bernie Sanders as an At-Large Delegate and need your help to please help me get to the DNC Convention to fulfill my Delegate duties.
I ran as a Delegate Candidate in Maryland's 2nd Congressional District and won 31,285 votes of Sanders' 39,321 earned votes in CD2, albeit not enough to win.
I have been very active during the Sanders campaign by volunteering with Maryland For Bernie, MoCo For Bernie, and Baltimore For Bernie. I will continue Bernie Sanders' vision for the Political Revolution by working with The Sanders Institute, Our Revolution, and Brand New Congress.
Brothers and Sisters, unlike other Delegates who have had months to prepare, I only have a few days for fundraising!
All funds raised by this campaign will assist me to pay for meals, travel, convention fees, and lodging associated with my participation and attendance at this very historical political event.
