Kiera's Open Heart Recovery Fund

I am a friend of the Hansen family, who's child shares the same rare condition called Heterotaxy.
I am raising money to help Kiera's parents cover the costs associated with her recent open heart surgery. Kiera has Heterotaxy Syndrome (Isomerism), as well as Asplenia.
She also has hypoplastic right heart syndrome and dextrocardia. To those who aren't familiar with the medical lingo, Kiera was born with half a heart, no spleen, and other organ defects.
While there is no 'fix' for Kiera's condition, surgeons can extend her life by doing a series of 3 open heart surgeries. Kiera has had to have several extra procedures due to complications including an additional open heart surgery as a newborn.
Kiera recently had the last open heart surgery (Fontan) and has had a long road to recovery. She has been hospitalized for over a month, and upon finally being released home to the Okanagan, had to be air ambulanced back to BCCH.
The strain on her family is tremendous. One parent needs to be with Kiera at all times (and for this one parent there are no breaks or chances to leave the hospital, as you have to be with your child). The other parent needs to care for Kiera's sisters, keep the home in order and work. It just isn't possible to do it all, and Kiera's dad has had to take a long period off of work.
My heart aches for the Hansen family...on top of the struggle of keeping it all together logistically as well as worrying about their daughter who is fighting for her life, they have to worry about how they will pay the bills.
They urgently need help...any amount will help them pay their bills, buy food and perhaps even buy Kiera a treat from the gift shop to cheer her up.
I would be so grateful for any amount you have to help this wonderful family. They have been such an inspiration and support to us with our son's journey; they are truly deserving!
