It is with great pleasure to announce that the Charlton Junior Division Little League Softball Team (ages 13-14),which includes players from Dudley and Webster, won the Little League Massachusetts StateTitle this past weekend. The team will be advancing to Regional play in Orange, CT from 7/22 to 7/28 and the winners advance to the World Series in Kirkland, WA. This is the fourth consecutive State Title Championship for four players on this team and two coaches.
Parents are responsible for lodging for their players and themselves for the Regionals timeframe of 4 to 6 days. This campaign is intended to help defray the expenses incurred by the families since the League can not afford to support cost for the team. The cost is anticipated to be $1,500 per player.
This is a huge accomplishment for these girls and reflects very well on the towns of Charlton, Dudley and Webster. We are appealing to the community, family and friends to help support this team in their quest for a Regional Title.
