Hello:
My name is Donna Saporito, I am the maternal grandmother to Angelina, Julian, and Alyssa Soto.
On July 5, 2016, I received the devastating news that Julian & Alyssa were placed in foster care in the state of Florida, and it was so heartbreaking for me to find out that they have been there since May 1, 2016.
Their mother suddenly left with them in February 2016 and we have had very minimal contact with her since.
It has been a very sad and rough time for myself and my family especially for their 10 year old sister Angelina, who has had the unfortunate burden of worrying about their safety and missing them terribly everyday.
They have been left without both parents in less than a years time. Since their mother has failed to make contact with the agency since June, they will shortly be put up for adoption, if I can't get them back here and have custody. I desperately need to get them back home safely and to give them the proper life they so much deserve, and most of all to be reunited with their sister Angelina.
My goal is to raise the funds necessary to travel to Florida, in the effort to receive custody of them and bring them back home. Also, once they are in my possession, when and if any assistance is available to them, it will be minimal and it will be a long haul ahead for all of us financially. The funds will be used for a bigger residence if I am permitted to move, all their daily needs and expenses, emergencies, education and more . Having a fund set up for them for now and their future is necessary to do all this, being I do not have any savings. I live day to day and just get by myself, and this will not be possible for me to give them what they need and so much deserve without your generous help.
I might have to pay partially for legal expenses to get custody. The process of getting them back will be lengthly, and will most possibly burden me with the expense of being out of work for an indefinite amount of time.This will make it impossible for me, because Like I did urgently stressed before, I will need the funds for a bigger residence in which to raise them, buy clothing, and all their daily needs and medical expenses, until or if I get the assistance they need and for the future years ahead. I have been a single parent all my life, and I so well know the hardships of raising children and barely getting by. This will not be possible for me without your help.
In the meantime, the foster care system will not allow me to have contact with the children, with the exception of letters and pictures. I know they are scared and want to be reunited with their sister Angelina and family.
I am heartbroken that my grandchildren are in foster care, and just want to be able to be reunited with them as soon as possible, and to give them the love and stability they need and deserve. I truly appreciate any assistance in getting my grandchildren back.
