A home for Alberta & Family

Donation protected
Recently we met a gal who needs help with a new house.  She makes less than $1000 per month and has no debts and no problem budgeting.  She is happy where she is planted and has not asked for this help.  She is amazing......we met Alberta when the home she was living in was foreclosed.  Alberta had rented one of the houses on the property and had to move.  We had many discussions about her faith and she trusted Jesus would take care of her housing situation.  She was having a difficult time finding a home to rent because of her income situation, the lack of suitable rentals, and trying to raise 3 high school boys in a small town with limited jobs and resources.  She finally found a home she could afford with the income she received from her job at the nursing home.  A friend and I visited her at the new house she was renting and found it almost unliveable. The place is less than 500 square feet. The kitchen sink had a table knife wedged in the faucet handle so the water wouldn't spray or leak too bad and the toilet didn't work.  You need a 5 gallon bucket of water to flush it and the dining room, living room, and bedroom are all kind of one.  It wasn't much better than the home she was renting on the foreclosed property, which had no plumbing in the kitchen where she used a 5 gallon bucket to drain dish water into, and heated the place with a 55 gallon drum that she lit a fire in and let the heat in through the kitchen window. Alberta never once seemed to have a problem with the conditions but rejoiced and gave praise to God that she had a roof over her head.

We continued to talk about her faith and it was interesting to me that she knew so many scriptures yet she was not able to read. She told me she listens well, and her 3 sons were teaching her to read.

Due to some unexpected issues, Alberta's daughter and her husband ran into hard times and is currently living with Alberta in the 500 square foot home with one bedroom and one bathroom with 2 of her own children. The home is clearly too small for a  family of eight.

This is where we hope to help. We are asking for a little from a lot of people to buy Alberta a house. We have looked at several homes in Hot Springs and have found one. The cost of the project will be approximately $100,000 with approximately $55,000 being used to purchase the home & approximately $45,000 to make necessary improvements & repairs.

It would mean so much to a family in Hot Springs, Montana to have their own space. A small donation from a lot of people will make a big difference in their lives. If 100,000 people would each give $1, it would be a huge blessing for Alberta and her family.  Help us enlarge her tent and stretch out her curtains, let's not spare. Help her strengthen her stakes.Isaiah 54:2 There is strength in numbers.

Montana is a big state with a big sky and full of people with big hearts. Together we can do this!
