Donation protected
Hello everyone,
SACNAS is the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science, a national organization dedicated to the success of underrepresented groups in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. Every year SACNAS hosts a national conference where students, scientists, research institutions, and graduate school representatives come together to network and share information on research opportunities, internships, careers, and the latest scientific advancements through research presentations. The Fort Lewis College SACNAS organization is interested in taking a group of young student scientists to this conference and needs your support.
The conference runs from October 13-15 2016 and will be held in Long Beach, CA.
We recieved funding for Native American students, however we still need $1200 to cover the costs for our Hispanic members.
Funds will be used to help cover:
Airfair ($300-$500)
Conference registration fees ($375)
TOTAL/student = $675-$875
TOTAL/3 students = $2,025-$2,625
We have done and will continue to fundraise via sponsors, donations, foodsales, and other scholarships.
We appreciate all donations, thank you for helping us become successful scientists!
