My name is Christina and the boy in the picture with me is my autistic son Jared. His dad and my husband is a USMC veteran.
We are about to lose our housing.
I work part-time for a school district which makes summer months difficult. We basically live paycheck to paycheck at the moment. This summer my husbands overtime which we depended on dried up. We do plan in advance for the summer months but this year has been particularly difficult since my husband got into a motorcycle accident earlier this year that put a hit on our savings.
I am working on solving the problem and there is light at the end of the tunnel. With my husbands GI Bill we will get $800 a month in housing when I go back to school for my Masters in August. Since the school district's pay is delayed 2 months I am also looking for other employment that doesn't adversly affect my sons care and pays sooner. Also, my husband is in the middle of the application process for the CA Department of Corrections and is in the last stages of a long (over a year) process. Once these things come to fruition we will be fine we just need help surviving until they come through.
Funds from this will go to:
-Rent
-Car repairs (driving to interviews with brakes needing replacing has me paranoid)
-Utilities
-Medical Expenses
The amount of funding is not static! If things work out sooner I will lower the goal or close this gofundme as needed.
