Donation protected
Bertha Mabel Zippel 89 years old, married to a World WarII Veteran and Navy Chief Frank Emil Zippel. She was a victim of Elder Abuse at the hands of her Grandson for many years. She was left without medications and proper food for several years. The Grandson was reported to police and arrested on a number of occasions. Her home and all belongings were either sold or Pawned to seed his drug and alcholol habits. Mable was a sweet caring and trusting woman.
She was a member of the St. Johns United Methodist Church in Santa Fe New Mexico. Her Granddaughter Barbara Richmond took her from the abuisve atmosphere to Florida. Every possible avenue was attempted to restore her health. Sadly she was left penniless and broken, suffering from dementia. Barbara and her family did all they could for Mable. Sadly she passed away today 7-01-2016 of a bowel blockage.
Her wish was to be buried at the National Cemetary in Santa FE New Mexico with her Husband.
