Hello everyone! This summer I was very lucky to land an internship with Oblique Magazine here in Charleston. My journey with Oblique so far has been an amazing and rewarding experience! We have been working vigorously to ensure that our Health and Fitness Expo this coming fall will be as perfect as possible. The Expo will be held at Charleston Southern University on October 8th and is free to the public. One hundred percent of all money raised will go directly to a local cause called Pedals 4 Peanuts.
Pedals 4 Peanuts is an organization that provides selected children in the low country their very first bike. The North Charleston City Police Department will be on hand to personally distribute the bikes to the children. Last year Oblique raised enough money to buy over 225 bikes and helmets!
Our monetary goal for this year is $20,000 total. This is our target because this would allow us to gift about 350 Huffy bikes with helmets. At Oblique we believe in good physical health for people of all ages.
In an effort to assist in raising the funds needed, I have created this GoFundMe account. Being a hometown girl, it would thrill me to see my community come together to support a cause that brings so much pure joy and happiness to our local children.
