WiYN Shifts the Power!

Hello! We are the Wisconsin Youth Network (WiYN), and this summer we will be attending Power Shift 2016 , a two-day event that will provide a space for young people to train as leaders in the fight for climate justice. Through skill-building workshops, participating in local actions, and building strong regional connections, we will amplify our voice, build power in both schools and community, and ultimately create a movement that will inspire climate justice on a national scale!
To facilitate this, we are asking for your financial assistance in providing the funds necessary to make this experience available to everyone from WiYN. To make your donation more meaningful, we have matching funds from Wisconsin organizations like the Sierra Club - Four Lakes Group, so when you donate today, your funds are DOUBLED! We are raising money to offset the costs of lodging at the event. The first night we will be camping together as a group from Wisconsin, and the second night we will stay in the rooms available for all attendees on-site at the conference.The estimated total cost per person for this lodging plan is $50.00.
Because we have so many Wisconsin students interested in attending, our fundraising goal to meet the needs of everyone is currently $1,500 (though that may increase if more people register). Every little bit helps, and this money will be matched by community organizations as well, so your donation is doubled! Because of this generous matching, we have set our GoFundMe goal at $1,000, to get people motivated and excited to donate.
This event will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and WiYN is thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of it. Thank you very much for your support!
