Teacher wanting graphic novels

I am a 6th grade ELA(English Language Arts) teacher. I love comic books and graphic novels. I try to introduce my students to this medium. What I have noticed is that my students share a lot of the same passions after being introduced to this medium. My students every year read American Born Chinese by Gene Yang. Some of my students even tell me through letters, email, or even via their parents, that reading this graphic novel has helped them to become better readers and to become passionate readers. I want to continue this education of graphic novels.
This year, my school is implementing a new literacy block. I will have students who are below average readers, and my goal is to not only make them better readers but to make them passionate about reading. I want to purchase more graphic novels with the money I raise here. I would buy Anya's Ghost by Vera Brosbol. Anya's Ghost is a great story of a young girl who doesn't quite fit in because of her heritage. She meets this ghost that helps her to be more open, but the ghost isn't so great as Anya thinks. 
I am hoping to get enougn money to buy tons of sets of other graphic novels as well, but I am starting small. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit this site. I hope you can see how exciting I am about this new venture and hope that you can contribute to it as well.
