Greetings! My name is Keshia (Kiki) Sexton. I was recently selected by the Bernie Sanders campaign to be an At-Large Delegate at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. Whoo hoo! I am excited and thankful for this opportunity to serve and make sure our voices as African Americans, women, young adults, and undeserved communities are heard through this democratic process!
As many of you may know, I am a strong believer in social, environmental, and economic justice. I am committed to organizing communities of color to improve the quality of life for all Americans regardless of their race, class, zip code, and sexual orientation. I am an organizer for social change. I believe the people have the power to make a difference!
As a member of the California delegation, I am responsible for my own travel, lodging, and food.
Please consider donating $25 or more to help me raise the remaining $2,700 I need to cover my costs.
It is an honor to serve in this role and to represent a community that is often left out, and not heard! This is OUR journey to the convention, and it is an important one! Many Americans died so that I, as an African American and a woman can VOTE.
