Ryan Stone Home Repair

Donation protected
The night of September 12th, a large oak tree fell during a storm and destroyed much my brother Ryan's home. He and his sweet fiancé Jaycee have put countless hours of effort and thought into renovating their house this past year, and recently welcomed me and my four year old son Miles into their home when our lease was up. The night of the accident, Ryan was asleep, Miles and our little brother Waylon were getting PJ's in their room, and I was in my bedroom. We had no idea the night would unfold the way it did. Following a loud, splintering crack of the wood, a chaotic mix of tree trunk, limbs, ceiling and rainwater immediately came crashing down around me. It happened so fast. The way the tree and ceiling caved in like a scooping spoon and pushed me aside instead of crushing me downwards can only be described as an act of God. The drywall and insulation exploded with the impact and coated our hair, skin, and throats. As I stood, exposed live wires and still lit lights dangled around me as the rain continued to pour in. My first screams were for my baby - the most terrifying moments of my life were the moments I was unsure whether he was okay or not. My next screams were for my brothers to tell me they were alive and for someone to save me from the crumpled bedroom that I feared would soon electrocute me. To my great relief I could hear Ryan, and I cannot explain the relief I felt when he said everyone not only survived but also that nobody got hurt! Ryan hurriedly helped me jump out of a window into safety. God clearly put his hands on us all that night to have us in exactly the right spot to keep us safe. I truly believe if Miles and I had been in bed on time, our family would be recovering bodies today instead of belongings. Thank you Ryan, for getting me out when I felt so scared.

There is no house insurance on this home we shared. Today we ask anyone who wants to contribute to the rebuilding we have ahead to consider donating. Thank you to everyone who had prayed, called, texted, and showed up. The outpouring of support from the community and our family has been a beautiful thing to experience and witness.
