My name is Charlie Kimbell and I live in Woodstock, Vermont.
I am running for Vermont State Rep to represent the towns of Woodstock, Reading and Plymouth (District Windsor 5). Any money raised will fund the expenses of the campaign (printing brochures and yard signs, advertising in newspapers and sending mail to registered voters). The primary is August 9th so I need to get my campaign in full gear by July 1st!
If elected, I will work hard to ensure that Vermont has a sustainable economic future for the next generation. Vermont has been my home for 48 years (I am 51 - started out in Newton, MA). It is an amazing place to live but it is increasingly expensive (housing, taxes) and Montpelier has made some bad policy and management decisions (Act 46 - school governance consolidation, Vermont Health Connect, the annual fiscal crisis in January when expenses outpace revenues). We need to exercise good fiscal management while meeting the needs of our citizens and ensure that this is a place where people can and want to work, live and play.
