My friend Ant-Javoy Hartley has been having a hard time due to a traggic accident that her mother has experienced. Her mother was hit by a car in Jamaica and has been experiencing difficulty with medical care. Please do anything that you can to help.
Ant-Javoy states as follows: "On Tues June 6, 2016, my Mother, who resides in Jamaica was walking along the street when she was suddenly hit from behind by a reckless driver. She was immediately rushed to a local public hospital where she was diagnosed with a fractured spine.
Because of the limited resources and staff of this healthcare facility, she was subsequently discharged four days later without the proper support device for her back.
She is currently unemployed and in school with limited resources of her own and as her only child, I am also in grad school and am not financially capable of assisting as much I would like.
At the present time, she has been re-scheduled to see an orthopedic surgeon in six weeks. However, she currently lives alone and is experiencing a lot of pain which continues to worsen without the back brace that she needs to allow her spine to start healing properly. It has been disheartening for me to be so far away and unable to support my mother in this physically. But if you can help financially, I would greatly appreciate it and I know that it will assist my mother in her healing process.
The cost for the brace is approximately US$650 and she is requesting any help that can be offered at this time. I am also asking for an additional minor assistance ot help pay for her healthcare expenses. These funds are needed immediatley, because the longer that she goes without a brace, the harder it will be for her to heal. It is also more risky for her to wait for a back brace so it means a lot to me for whatever you can give. Thank you for your generosity in advance and God bless."
