Matthew 25:35 ministry is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. We have been ministering to, feeding, clothing and taking care of the homeless in the Columbus Ohio area since before January 2010.
We also provide on an annual basis an event called M.A.S.H. which is Meals And Showers for the Homeless.
Once a year we rent a shower unit and park it behind our building, along with clothing food and supplies for the homeless. This can get expensive for us and it is only once a year. There are very few places in Columbus Ohio for those who are experiencing homelessness to get a shower on a regular basis.
And with few places to access a hot shower it creates a significant and practical problem when applying for a job or housing as well as anything else that requires human interaction. Not to mention health concerns.
A hot shower provides, dignity, self-worth, self-confidence, refreshment, and restoration.
We would like to purchase a brand-new three shower, three toilets self-contained unit to be used in Columbus Ohio on an ongoing regular monthly basis, and this unit can be used year round as well.
This shower unit would not only be used for our annual event, but we also foresee it being used by other ministries and organizations weekly or monthly as well.
We have been looking into units of this type for a short time now, and we have found this particular unit to be very well-made, very well-equipped and a very good value for the money.
The yearly maintenance cost and insurance costs are very low as well.
Obviously, the sooner we can get the funds together the sooner we can get this unit to those in need.
We at Matthew 25:35 Ministry know the need and importance of this shower, toilet unit. And we also know how grateful those who would be using this unit are.
