Help Save Hatchi

Hi Friends!

Recently, I was given the chance to adopt a 5 year old Maltese named Hatchi who needed a home.  His owners at the time, no longer wanted him and were planning to render him to a shelter.  I received a photo of a sweet, smiley, healthy little guy and decided I was happy to take him on.

Upon meeting him, I saw a completely different animal.  He was severely neglected; his eyes were infected, his fur was sparse and skin was visible, he was overweight, and his back paws were so swollen and in such bad condition, he could barely walk.  Although this was far from the dog I had anticipated meeting, I knew I could not leave him in these people’s “care” any longer and took him home.  After seeking the medical help he so desperately needed, I learned he had a urinary tract infection, double eye infection, a staph infection on his feet and belly, and a dental state so poor that he will require a very thorough cleaning and fair amount of extractions.  When all done and said, his medical bills will total roughly $1000.  I would like to give Hatchi the life he deserves (he is a very tender boy, even after all of the things he’s been through) but am in need of support to help cover his medical bills on such short notice.

If you could kindly help, even the smallest amount would be greatly appreciated.
