DNC Bernie delegate trip

I am 1 of 3 elected Bernie delegates from the 5th Congressional District of Michigan. I have been married for nearly 42 years to George Heron. We have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. I am a retired high school math teacher.
During the past year, I have actively campaigned for Bernie, including rallying, promoting, and phone banking. I advocate for his message of solidarity to protect rights of all Americans to social justice. No matter who is chosen as Democratic nominee,  the Progressive Movement is responding to deep need in our country. As a delegate, I want to see progressive solutions to the economic, health, environmental, educational, and other challenges facing our country. Younger people have shown their overwhelming support for progressive values, but family and work obligations, not to mention economic concerns make it difficult for them to take the time to attend the Convention. I want to do my part to help move their cause forward.
I am grateful for the opportunity to represent the people of the 5th Congressional District of Michigan at the convention. And many thanks to those of you who are able support my trip to the Democratic National Convention.
