Presenting the 2016 Miss Black District of Columbia U.S. Ambassador, Marinda Fruge!
Marinda is an ambitious queen with a passion to serve her community through her multifaceted platform, which promotes inspiring an unapologetic mindset in young women to stand up for both themselves and their beliefs, cultivating the leadership presence of women of color in our communities, and promoting physical and mental health in women of color. Her goal is to continue to be an Ambassador of Change in women empowerment by encouraging women of color to express their educated viewpoints, demonstrate their extraordinary talents and showcase not just their pretty faces, but their gorgeous minds.
Please show your continued support for Marinda as she heads to the Miss Black US Ambassador Nationals to represent the District of Columbia this July 3-9 in OKC, Oklahoma! Marinda is excited to be the sole representative of the DC Metro area and still has a number of things to cover before she heads off to compete. Sponsorships will go towards preparing for Nationals, airfare/transportation, and lodging. Nationals expenses include entry fees, competition wear, leadership conferences and luncheons, a parade showcase, and more! Any support for her campaign would be greatly appreciated!
