Bike for Haley!

Haley is turning 13 years old this July 9, 2016! No one ever imagined she would live past a few minutes/days/weeks, let alone 13 years...She is a miracle and a wonderful gift from the Lord!
Born with a posterior encephalocele, neural tube defect, Haley lost 1/3 of her brain out the back of her head into the large, fluid fill sack called an encephalocele.
She was never supposed to see, hear, walk or talk...and she does all those things (with some modification). Later, at age 2 she was diagnosed with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy--which makes her lower extremeties very tight and difficult to use.
Along with her physical, occupational and even equine therapy to help keep her muscles and tendons stretched and keep her mobile, we are searching for activities we can do together as a family. Now that her two little sisters are riding bicycles, they are asking for all of us to ride together.
Haley has outgrown 2 trykes already (each were donated to another child who was in need for a special tryke) and we now once again are in need of a bike, that, instead of us walking/pushing it for her, we would love to ride it with her and our whole family can ride together!
Since Haley's 13th birthday is coming up, we were hoping to gift her with a new bicycle that will allow us to ride along with her. The cost for a bike like this is around $1800.00 along with any extra strapping/special pedals to be added to the bike for safety. The bike we are looking at has an independent pedal system so she can pedal as little or as much as she'd like and will hold up to 600lbs---so it will grow with her and allow an adult or one of her siblings or a friend to ride with her. Plus, anyone who knows Haley knows how much she loves to talk--so riding side by side will be perfect for her socially.
So many of you have prayed for us and have loved Haley...so this is why we would love to open this up to friends and family who would love to help us gift this to her for a special, group-effort birthday present!
It takes approximately 5 weeks to get it in once ordered, so we are asking to have the funds as close to her birthday as possible so we can have it ordered and she can ride it before the end of summer 2016.
