Adriel's Medical Fund

On May 27th after a beautiful wedding celebration and reception, several of the wedding party members decided that the most appropriate culmination to an amazing and wild day would be to jump in the pool, still sporting their wedding attire.  Unfortunately, the mood quickly changed when it was realized that Adriel dove at an awkward angle, thus striking her head on the bottom.  She immediately lost consciousness, and ultimately lost all feeling from her neck down.  She was stabilized and rushed to the hospital, where she was forced to pay $1300 out of pocket for treatment in that facility before they would even release her.  The next morning she left Mexico and returned to her home in Washington to see a neurosurgeon and seek professional health care with her loved ones surrounding her.  Upon extensive examinations and procedures it was determined that she sustained several fractures to her spinal cord and tore ligaments that connect to her brain stem.  She also had severe spinal column bruising and other ligament damage that will ultimately need to be repaired.  Needless to say these procedures will not only cause a long road to recovery, but will also be quite pricey.  We, her family and friends, are asking for your help with this monetary burden.  If you choose to give, no matter how large or small the amount will be a huge help.  There is no pressure and want no one to feel obligated, but we want to help ensure that the hospital bills cause as little stress on Adriel as possible, so she can focus her efforts on getting healthy again.  We consider it a blessing that she has made as much progress as she has, so please continue to pray for her health and recovery.
