Journey to Jones Baby #2

Donation protected
Our infertility journey started about 5 years ago. We started trying to conceive following our 2011 wedding, but we were unable to conceive for nearly 2 years. After months of testing, shots, prescriptions and just as we were getting ready to do our first round of IUI, we got pregnant. We had our first child in March 2014. We were elated and so in love with our miracle baby.

When we started trying for baby #2, we thought that all of our issues before were in the past. Maybe the doctors hadn’t gotten it right. Maybe we’d be able to conceive easier this time around. After several months of trying yet again to conceive, we decided to go back to the Fertility Center. Our doctors told us that we wouldn’t get pregnant without help.

Most insurance companies do not cover IVF or anything fertility related. Our insurance provider doesn’t cover a penny of fertility treatment. Medications, doctor’s visits, ultrasounds and the actual procedures will have to be paid in full out of pocket.

We want nothing more than to expand our family, but the price tag associated with it is steep. The procedure alone is nearly $8,000 and the medications and ultrasounds will range anywhere from an additional $4-$6,000. We don’t ask for help often, but when we see others creating gofundme accounts to pay for golf or to make up the money they lost while playing the lottery, we feel like our cause is truly one in which asking for help is allowed.

Any amount will help!

We have been sharing our infertility journey with others in hopes of helping those who are also experiencing infertility. You can follow our journey on this blog: https://wheninfertilityhappens.wordpress.com/
Thank you, and God Bless

UPDATE:
We are heartbroken. Our IVF procedure failed. We are at a loss of words, and what's worse is that we may never know why the procedure failed.

We are asking for prayers more than ever, and if you're able to donate something, anything, the time would be now.

If we continue on with our IVF journey, we are going to need help. We will be doing our second round, and as most of you know from following our blog- IVF is so expensive!

Thanks for the love and support.
