Christmas for the Philippines

Hello!

In 2013, we got the amazing opportunity to visit Cebu City, Philippines where our relatives grew up. We got to experience the much simpler life, not heavy on technology nor were people cooped up inside their little houses. Everyone was outside, socializing and sharing homemade food as the children ran and played all day under the sun. They didn't have much, but they were happy. It was very much a culture shock from the busy on-the-go lifestyle of the US.


We were able to meet the sweetest people in the small little village, some distant relatives, and others welcomed us strangers with open arms.


We got to play with the children of all ages and give them the clothes and toys that we had brought with us. This year, we would like to do it again--and this time, for Christmas.


The Philippines celebrates Christmas big. The celebration goes on for months and unlike what we're used to, they rarely recieve or exchange gifts--they're more about sharing food and dancing all night long. A true meaning to the holidays.



Three years ago, we were not as prepared for the trip and had only brought along some clothing and toys for a few of the children. This year, as we plan for this trip six months in advance, we would like to give all that we have to offer--- from clothing, toys, and food. 


A simple donation such as $1 will go a very long way. We cannot wait to make this mission happen!
