Send Majid Al-Bahadli to DNC

My name is Majid Al-Bahadli and I’m asking for your support to finance my trip to Philadelphia as a Delegate for Bernie Sanders from 
the 7th Congressional District of Washington.

 I arrived in Seattle in July 1995 as a political refugee
with sixty dollars in my pocket, imperfect English, and a willing
ness to work hard. I know what it is like to feel desperate for money, security , and connections in this country. I know what it feels like to be treated like an outsider, like a foreigner in my own home.  I am acutely aware of the needs of immigrants and minorities of all kinds to feel welcomed and supported in this country and I need to do my p
art keep the US as open and diverse as possible.

I became active politically here when I arrived and have become ever more convinced that I must do more than complain; instead I must become a part of the solution. 

This year I was elected as a National Delegate for Bernie Sanders to represent the 7th District at the Democratic National Convention and bring the voice of Arab  and Muslim communities to the convention and the national stage.  I am excited for the opportunity to stand up to the powerful interests in this country and help push an agenda that represents the real needs of the people.  

We need a leader who puts people first before corporate interests, who will fight for real, substantive, lasting change in the way we finance our campaigns, take care of our health care needs, educate our young people, protect our environment, and fight for justice and human rights throughout our society and around the world. 

This is the leader and the ideals I want to fight for in Philadelphia.  Please contribute to send me there.
