Building a solid foundation

Hearing Hearts is a non-profit organization working in Haiti. We work with the deaf community. In a country where most people think deafness is a voodoo curse or that deaf will not be able to have a normal life, we show unconditional love to our deaf family. We bring kids from rural mountain areas into the city where they can begin to acquire language. We are not an orphanage but rather more along the lines of a boarding house. While with us, these precious children are provided with food, family, housing, love, and endless support for them to succeed.
We started with 3 kids last year. We are currently at 10 kids. All of us are living in a tiny 2 bedroom house. We have a list of kids who are eagerly waiting to join us and are constantly receiving phone calls of more deaf kids who are in need of our assistance. We are in  desperate NEED of a bigger house!
Late last year, we were blessed with the opportunity to purchase a small piece of land. This is were we need your help! We need to build a house for our deaf brothers and sisters. We are in need of $9,000 to build the foundation and slab of our new and bigger house. Having this house will allow us to support more children. More kids who no longer feel alone, neglected or think they're the only deaf people in the world. We need your help to build a solid foundation! Please consider partnering with us!
