As my mom and I were driving down the street, we noticed a strew of people along the sidewalk holding signs. My mom asked me to turn around and check out what was going on. As soon as I walked into the building I felt love all over me, I felt a sense of comfort being there. Being that I'm a videographer I preceded to ask the owner, Ms. Marie Jean-Pierre about the ministry. She stated that Valley Of Love is a non-profit organization for the homeless, the elderly, the less fortunate, or anyone seeking assistance.
My name is Selena Koon, up and coming videographer from Riviera Beach, FL. I'm raising money for Ms. Marie owing to the fact that she has a big heart and helping others is an honor to her. People come from all over the city to eat, pray, relax, and to just gain a piece of mind. She assist over 300 families per week, 1,200-1,500 per month with food, clothes, diapers and more. She even helps individuals get jobs, complete online applications for assistance, and even receives mail for ones with no physical address.
As a result of all the sacrifices Ms. Marie has made, this has caused her to fall behind on the ministries' rent and utility bills. No lights, no hot food. No water, no clean clothes.
All funds provided will be sent straight to the ministry. Money will be used carefully, wisely and as soon as they are received. Rent, water, and lights as she is running months behind.
Every time I walk through the doors of the ministry I notice endless hugs, smiles, and laughter. I feel as if I'm home away from home. I hate to see someone with such an impact on people go down the drain. Once Marie falls, everyone falls.
Marie has such a genuine passion for others and this is why I don't mind helping her. With the help of others, we all can go far.
