Hi everyone,
My name is Cat Williams and I am the young democrat representative of the 45th legislative district, and am also on the executive board of the King County democrats. On May 21, I had the honor of being elected to be a national delegate for Bernie Sanders. This means I will get to represent Washington's 1st congressional district at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
I am beyond honored to have been elected and I am going to do everything I can to make a difference. I truly believe this could be a pivotal moment in our nation's history, because Bernie Sanders has given so many of us a voice to stand up and demand change in our system. By going to the national convention, I will be able to directly have a part in invoking the change we need for our future generations. As I said during my speech, I will do whatever it takes to make our voices heard and make the change we're fighting for now, a reality for our future.
I have heard it will take about $5,000 to pay for the trip. The cost of airfare, hotel, and all other expenses are not covered. I am asking for your support in whatever form you can offer it - whether it be donating or sharing my gofundme page, anything helps! Thank you so much.
