Lets beat cancer again

Donation protected
It saddens me to bring you the news that my dear friend Nicole Clark has been bitten by the cancer bug once again.  Nicole is married to Josh Clark, and they have 3 young children.  She was first diagnosed with cervical cancer a couple years ago when she was barely 30 years old.  As you can imagine, the news was beyond devestating. There are so many thoughts that swirl through your head when you hear the word cancer.  Fortunately, Nicole was given a good prognosis and the doctors had a plan for her to beat it.  She had to have a radical hysterectomy to remove the cancer and infected lymphnodes.  This was a major surgery, that was followed by 6 weeks of healing.  Next step was chemo and radiation, as if the hysterectomy wasn't enough already,  Nicole had to travel to Fort Worth and back 5 days a week for 5 weeks to go to texas oncology to get her treatments.  Chemo and radiation is an awful thing for one to go through, especially while trying to take care of children.  Its hard to take care of yourself when you have to run a household.  This was such a difficult time, but she was able to get through it.  After treatment was completed, she was declared cancer free and started to heal her body from the chemo and raditation.  It takes a long time to recover and start feeling normal again.  but she finally got her life back.  Until now.  Nicole recently started having some lower back pain, and it was discovered that the cancer has now returned  in the lymphnodes by the base of her spine.  Not only is she in physical pain everyday from the mass pushing on her nerve root, but now she has to deal with the emotional and financial pain of cancer all over again.  Nobody deserves to ever have to go through it once, let alone twice.  But here we are. Now its a whirlwind of doctors appointments and scans.  Nicole will once again have to put her entire life on hold, The good news is, she will make it through this yet again.  However, it is really going to be hard on her and her family.  Nicole now has a full time job, and will be having to miss alot of work to be able to go to her appointments. Her daily routine will no longer include waking up and taking kids to school and then heading on into work, but now it will be waking up and having to drive to Fort Worth Monday thru Friday for the next five weeks to get radiation treatment everyday.  Not only will she be missing her paycheck from all the missed work, but her copays and the gas getting there and back is adding up to $60 a day.  Kinda tough to come up with extra money when you are physically unable to work.  So I'm here for her asking not for alot, but just a little.  If each person can help just a little, it will go a long way.  If you are unable to help with a financial donations, prayers are just as appreciated!  Please pray that she gets through this once again so she can go back to be the happy wife and mother that I know!

***UPDATE***
I thought I would post an update on Nicole.  She is hanging in there and remaining strong.   However, her pain from the tumor and nerve damage from radiation has taken a toll on her.  The pain is constant and there everyday, now preventing her from working more than 8 hours a week.  She is schedueled to see a pain management doctor in November.  We are hoping she will then find some relief.   She also has a Pet scan schedueld for October that will determine the next source of action, which could possibly be more chemo again.  Her being unable to work has left Josh to being the only financial provider for their household, and with all the extra medical bills, there is just not enough money to pay for everything.  We appreciate your prayers and support!
