Is there anyone who cannot relate to the fears of a child when Mom is sick? We are all sons and daughters and
remember the bonds we shared with our parents. Many of us have children of our own and we know how hard
we work to protect them, guide them, and provide for
them. Is there any doubt why we are reaching out on behalf of 14 year old Brenden and his family? Please read Brenden’s own words: “My mom has always been a strong person and has
always worked really hard, usually holding down 2 jobs to make sure that we were always provided for. This January our family was hit with the devastating news that my mom has breast
cancer. She was faced with the hard decision to have to give up one of her jobs and
anyone who knows my mother, knows what a tough
decision it was. My mom is our rock and now what would happen to our rock? Through all of her chemo treatments and
infusions, through her good days and her bad, she has
continued to be our rock and put our needs first, in front of her own. We still have a really long road ahead of us, and she is not going to give up. My mom is the most
amazing person I know. She's my hero and I love her.” Brenden’s mom continues to battle cancer, care for her
family, and models the values of loving parents. Her
husband Faron is a Little League volunteer, her son and daughter are managing school and their own activities
alongside the worries about their mom. The financial loss, however, is impacting the family.
Is there a way for you to help? Brenden is asking, on
behalf of his mom, displaying a son’s love for his mother. Is there anything more heartwarming? Blessings to all of you and thanks.
