AAI Earthquake Service Trip

Donation protected

The Alliance Academy International Senior Class of 2016 has decided to change the way senior trip, a vacation time for students after finishing high school, is traditionally carried out.  As a result of the devastating earthquake that occurred in Ecuador a couple weeks ago, the senior class has decided to dedicate their time and resources in aiding with the reconstruction of buildings and playing with the kids of the coast. We have associated with Compassion International in Manta, one of the affected regions.

Student Video Project: Senior Service Trip

At Compassion Site #511, we are planning to carry out a Vacation Bible School program for the kids that regularly attend the church.  We would be interacting with around 500 kids from that site. In addition, we plan to paint several areas of the church, reconstruct a wall that partially collapsed, install a playground and complete other types of construction activities.  After we finish our work at Site #511, we are planning to go to a small church near Monticristi to host a VBS recreational event for kids.

We are very excited to be able to serve others in need and it is incredible that we have the opportunity to leave a legacy that will potentially change our school community.

We reach out to you for help.  Our class is donating over $6000.00 to this service project.  Additionally, several thousands of dollars have also already been donated to support this project.  To complete all of the desired projects, we need to raise an additional $7000.00.

Your help is greatly appreciated.  Please know that all funds will go directly to the earthquake site.
