Local Shop Owner Needs a Hand/Leg!

Donation protected
In late May, my cousin Melissa, owner of Wavelengths Salon in Fair Haven, sustained a serious leg injury while riding her motorcycle with her husband and son.  Two surgeries, IV antibiotics at home, and countless house of therapy later, Melissa is just starting to walk again. To boot, her business partner also underwent a serious neck surgery in June and is also still unable to work.  In typical Melissa fashion, while lying in bed in pain herself, she started a gofundme campaign for Peg to help with some of her exorbitant medical bills.  We've just learned that Melissa had no disability insurance, and her own medical bills, coupled with the business loss, has put her and her family in great financial need as well.  My cousin is someone who has always been too proud to ask for help, but is always the first in line to help someone else.  For this reason, my family and I are asking our friends to help where they can.  Melissa is going to start trying to work a few hours a week, while still on crutches, but it will still be several months before she is able to stand on her own for the hours necessary to run her business.  Thank you for considering a small donation...we love her and know that every little bit will help!
