Grapefoot Chronicles: Short Film

Tax deductible

Making a short horror film is something we have wanted to do as a company for many years now. Changing Faces Theater Company is mostly known for putting on productions at Jessie's Grove Winery in Lodi, CA for the last 14 years.

Our short film, The Grapefoot Chronicles, will follow an amateur theater company as they stage an outdoor production. When one of the actresses goes missing, BJ and Audriana set out to find her. They meet a curious character along the way who tells them about a mysterious sasquatch like creature who stomps grapes in the local vineyards. Has Anna been attacked or is she just playing a trick on her castmates?

We are hoping to raise $1000 for this short film to be able to cover costs such as

$300 for Hospitality- we need to feed our cast & crew during filming.

$300 for Equiptment Rental- we are borrowing a lot of what we need, but we may need to rent some lighting equiptment.

$200 for Storage- we need to purchase 2 hard drives to store our footage.

$200 for Props & Costumes.

This is a bare minimum budget. Any funding above the $1000 will go towards submitting the film to festivals.

We begin production September 1st. We need as much of the funding as possible by then.

This is a labor of love for everyone working on this project. We hope to be able to make something enjoyable for our community and beyond. This is also going to be a great learning opportunity for some young people who are interested in this field as a career.
