Patrick W. Box 45 years old leaves behind a wife and 3 children.
On May 1, 2016 Patrick collapsed at work during the overnight shift due to a heart attack. He was rushed to the local hospital and placed into an induced coma in order to help the healing process. He never regained consciousness and on May 7 he passed away.
45 years old, married with 3 children (ages 16, 18 and 30) The middle (Nicole) graduating high school in a few weeks and looking forward to college this coming fall. (Grace 16, a junior in high school, and Jason 30 living on his own)
Patrick was the primary earner for the family and put the needs of his family before the needs of his own. He recently changed shifts at work (from the day shift considered "cushy" by the other shifts to an overnight shift considered more demanding) so he could earn the overnight differential of a few extra dollars on order to provide ust a little bit more per week for his family. He picked up extra hours every week and offered to stay when he could despite his own medical issues but never let them deter him from his obligations to his family.
Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis years ago he thought his recent bout with fatigue was a side effect of his MS and not his heart. He worked on accepting his condition and his limitiations physically he still took jobs that requireda physical presence and demanding hours.
Due to his MS he was unable to afford life insurance and now his family needs help. Facing unforseen and unexpected expenses in the shadow of losing Patrick they are reaching out to family, friends and even strangers for help in their time of loss and their time of need.
All the people who worked with Patrick may not have known him by name or even worked with him directly but knew his laugh and his smile which often brought the room to his attention.
