My Dear Friends,
All Saints Anglican Church, Agassiz B.C. is a parish which has a long and honorable history of caring for each of its members.
Being a small parish, we need help with this important campaign.
Fred Watson, who is our lectionary convener as well as a member of parish council, is suffering from severe lung problems (Pulmonary Fibrosis) which affects his ability to breathe and threatens his life.
Fred has been told that he must have a double lung transplant in order for him to enjoy a longer life. In order to have a successful transplant and recovery Fred must live in the Vancouver area around Vancouver General Hospital for three months with people who can make sure that he is okay while he recovers.
Fred is in a difficult situation as he has no family in Western Canada. The problem is complex in that the hospital cannot establish Fred as a priority until there is an assurance of housing and post-op care. He then has to wait for a suitable donor for him to receive the transplant.
We would like to raise money to help Fred out with the cost of temporary housing and post-op care.
Please pray for Fred and make his needs known to your network of friends and family.
