Supporting Kids from Congo & Rwanda

This summer, I will be going back to Rwanda, as a volunteer at a primary school. The children there are amazing, and they just want to learn. I am organizing a 10km Sponsored Run (for those who know my sporting capabilities will know that this will be a challenge!) to raise funds for them to be able to build a wall at the bottom of their school garden. This will mean that they will be allowed to play safely and not be subjected to external dangers.
I am also raising funds for a group of orphans, called the Tchukudu Kids, in the Congo. All proceeds go towards the 'Poultry Project', where we have bought a piece of land and a chicken hut, and it is now time to buy some chickens. Chickens will be able to provide the kids with fresh eggs, which is a source of protein for them.
100% of all the money raised will be going directly to these projects. The money will not be used to fund my trip, but to allow the children at the school in Rwanda and at the orphanage in the Congo to live a better and safer life.
These are the following projects:
- Chickens for the Tchukudu Kids (€3 per chicken)
- The Wall for the Rwandan School
- Medical Cards for poor Rwandan families (€4 per card)
- A live goat for poor Rwandan families (€40 per goat)
