Katie Over Cancer

On February 9, 2016, five days after launching her collaborative law practice, my dear friend Katie Mazurek was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. As you can imagine, the diagnosis and the subsequent aggressive chemotherapy treatments have hindered her ability to move forward in building her business as she had imagined and as her family had financially counted on doing. In addition to being a small business owner, athlete, and advocate, she is the sole provider for her beautiful family. Tom, her partner in life and in raising their girls Elle (5) and Sophie (2), has been by her side every step of the way as Katie bravely takes on this next chapter in her life.  The Mazureks have been overwhelmed by the support Katie has received from all over the world but this is a place that we can all come to help lighten the financial burden that this diagnoses and treatment, including 20 weeks of chemotherapy, a double masectomy (which will most likely need to be out of state), and several weeks of radiation, will take on her family.  You can also follow along on Katie's journey by following her blog:
