Support Krista's Medical Account

My name is Rachel, and I'm here on behalf of a couple of friends of Krista Keiter -- friend, sister-from-another-mother, cousin, knower-of-my-secrets. :) Krista has been in the hospital this week with a horrific asthma/pneumonia problem. Krista is known around Millersburg and Halifax as one of the most selfless individuals to grace our Valley. She's taught preschool for many years and has helped countless families in difficult times. Her generous spirit and heart are obvious to all who know her.

We're raising funds to help cover her medical expenses and household bills while she's in recovery. Krista is without insurance at this time, but the hospital is where she belongs to receive the medical attention to help her get better. Mortgage payments don't stop while one is in the hospital. Electricity and water still need to be paid. The hospital will also need reimbursed -- imagine that! :)

This amount needed may get raised as bills start coming in, but for now, $7500 felt like a good starting place. We'd like to raise this by May 31.

It feels to good to me, in particular, to know how loved Krista is by so many of the people in our area. You know how excellent of a teacher she is for your children. It is awesome to see how many of you have visited her in the hospital and provided for Christian while she is receiving medical attention. Krista has given and given to many of us, whether it has been by her physical presence, a text, something tangible by way of Christmas presents for kids who wouldn't have any otherwise, and countless other ways I'm sure I don't even know about.
