~ DETAILS ABOUT OUR FILM ~
As many of you know, I have 3 academic degrees, along with a full year of course work in a library science program and almost a full year of an MBA business program. During my studies, I took 3 research classes, which sparked a desire to research fibromyaglia and chronic fatigue.
The film I am creating is an educational film about fibromyalgia, since I have suffered from the illness for over 25 years. The film covers practical tips on how people may be able to improve their health issues with fibromyalgia as well as with chronic fatigue. The film shares an enourmous amount of medical and nutritional information, however I have added some fun and inspirational elements during the film, so the viewers are not overwhelemed. These creative touches are from my former days of working in Hollywood.
Throughout most of the film, I will be wearing my "educational hat", narrating and sharing valuable medical information about the illness. Since I have received college credit for the film, and plan on having it distrubuted through doctors and possibly "Netflix", I have taken many steps to make sure all the information is accurate. I am working with a number of doctors who are experts in the field of fibromyalgia, and sharing the valuable information from their books in my film.
One of the main purposes of the film is to take the complicated medical concepts of fibromyalgia and tranfer the knowledge into an easy- to -understand format with pictures. Many with fibromyalgia have "fibro fog" where their minds are "foggy", making it difficult to read and comprehend text in a book. As a teacher, I have discovered that learning new material from endless text on a page can be burdensome, however learning can be fun when combined with inspiring elements which motivate us to keep learning.
We are almost done with the film, but need your help. We need to cover some of our expenses during film production as well as raise monies to complete the film. Cindy and I have been working on the film for a number of years and are eager to get the film released to the public this year (2016), so that it can help the millions of people who suffer with fibromyalgia.
In addition, the film will have special guests such as celebrity, Tom Dreesen (The national known comedian who has appeared on television broadcasts, such as Jay Leno, as well as his work with Frank Sinatra for 14 years).Tom will be sharing a little bit about staying optomistic while navigating through difficult times. Everyone will love what he shares in the film :)
