2017 Famine Relief for Somalia

By the numbers: Somalia is currently facing the most devastating famine it has ever seen. The Food Security and Nutrition analysis unit in Somalia estimates 6 million people are in danger of starvation. This number includes 365,000 children in critical danger that require immediate medical attention. With nearly half the population of the entire country at risk it is imperative we take action, to raise awareness and to raise funds.
Who are we? We are college students from The United States and Canada. We are Somali youth from amongst the diaspora that have chosen to unite in this cause to help our people. We represent Somali Student Associations at our respective universities. We are the future and hope for our people, join us in solidarity for this noble cause and to let the people of Somalia know they have not been forgotten.
Where your money is going: All of the proceeds will be going to the American Relief Agency for The Horn of Africa (ARAHA) visit araha.org for more information on their organization.
The money will be used to purchase aid (water, food products, and necessities for survival.)
How you can help: There are various ways in which you can help us reach our goal. By donating through this page, contacting any of the SSA's from the Universities in collaboration for information regarding events. Most importantly helping raise awareness Use the #SaveSomalia on your social media and make the picture above your profile picture.
Drought is uncontrollable, but famine is preventable. In 2011 265,000 innocent people from Somalia died in that famine we cannot let history repeat itself. Donate what you can and share with all of your friends family and colleagues.
