2017 Cantu Syndrome Clinic Travel
Donation protected
The annual Cantu Syndrome (CS) Research Clinic will be held at Washington University School of Medicine again in June 2017. This is a unique clinic carrying out research to define the clinical features of CS, as part of the effort to ultimately identify an appropriate therapy. The clinic allows patients and caregivers the opportunity to meet others dealing with CS, to hear about the latest studies being done in animals to understand CS, and to discuss the syndrome with expert clinicians and researchers working on CS.
To maximize the value of the clinic, the goal is to be as inclusive as possible, and to bring in as many patients and their caregivers as possible. As a research clinic, patient testing is purely voluntary, and the costs of the testing are covered by research funds raised at WUSM. Due to limited funds, there is insufficient support for the costs of travel for all patients and caregivers.
We are therefore launching this GoFundMe campaign with the goal of raising sufficient funds to allow all interested patients and one caregiver each, to travel to Saint Louis for the clinic. All funds raised will be used expressly to support this purpose.
