2017 CANstrution AOW Team
CANStruction is an event held right in Albany, NY at the State Museum. Teams are compnies in the area comprised of Architects, Contractors and Engineers that all have one common goal. That goal is to build a unique structure out of food cans that can be donated to The Food Pantries of the Capital District.
The Food Pantries of the Capital District is a coalition of 56 food pantries in Albany, Rensselaer, and Saratoga Counties. They provide funding, delivery, coordination of services and food drives, and education and training to our member food pantries. Each $1 donated will provide the pantries 6.25 lbs of food to the area. The money donated to this page will go towards funding the purchase of the cans to build our structure, All excess money will be sent to the pantries in the form of a check.
This is AOW's second year and we are glad to be taking part in such a great event again that helps this community. In Albany, Rensselaer, and Saratoga Counties approximately 67,000 people are food insecure. 23,000 are babies and children. The Food Pantries happens to be our neighbor and we participate and volunteer for them as much as possible. Please help us in our efforts this year. The structure will be built on March 7th with it being open to the public March 8th. Any contribution makes a difference for this community! Thank you
