Community Project - House of Refuge

Hello everyone! We are the members of the 2016 Leadership Program selected by the SouthEast Valley Regional Association of Realtors (SEVRAR) in Arizona.
We are an elite and diverse group of individuals dedicated to increasing our leadership skills and raising the bar in the real estate industry. We were all selected from a competitive list of applicants to participate in the Leadership Program.
We are doing a very complex Community Outreach Project, as part of our Leadership Program. After several discussions about projects, we have decided to take on the Remodeling and refurbishment of at least one home for the "House of Refuge" organization. House of Refuge is a 503(c) non-profit organization. You can view their website at House of Refuge
The money we raise will be used to pay for equipment and professional service providers, new cabinets & countertops, complete new bathroom, new home flooring, new lighting fixtures, new plumbing fixtures, new window coverings, any drywall repair, complete painting of the interior and exterior. We are proud to acknowledge businesses like Dunn-Edward's, Valleywide Custom Painting, and Home Depot for coming through and donating much of our required raw materials for the project. This has allowed us to shift our original fundraising goal from $25,000 to just over $5000. Thank you business partners!
We are trying to complete this project no later than April 7th, 2016, our graduation date. This will also allow the home to be completed for the April 9th, 2016 Open House which the House of Refuge has scheduled for the public. So, we will need and appreciate these funds immediately. We have already assigned members of the Leadership Program with the various responsibilities in researching and finding sources for the equipment, raw materials, and professionals that we will need to complete this project on time. We have completed demolition, prepping, and painting of the home. During the upcoming weeks, we hope to finish the cabinets, flooring and counter tops.
This project means so much to the twelve of us in the 2016 Leadership Program! We selected this project to have a major impact to the community while supporting an organization that supports members of the community restoring their lives. All of us are Real Estate Professionals determined to help our community in the most impactful way that we can. This is why we have taken on this huge challenge.
We will be sincerely thankful and grateful for your contribution to our project. Not only will we, The 2016 Leadership Program members, and The House of Refuge organization be grateful and appreciative; but, the families that will be helped by this housing resource will be grateful and remain hopeful for improving their lives after we all help pick them up in their time of need!
