P2P Student Ambasador trip to Australia
My name is Desiree E. People to People Ambassador Program has invited me to "take the first step in an educational journey of a life time" by joining in an educational trip to Australia & New Zealand for 12 days this summer 2013. Unfortunately my parents don't have the $$ to pay for the full amount. I am trying to help them by raising as much as I possibly can.
I start school at 7:30 a.m. and come out at 5 p.m. every day of the week. I am a 3.8 GPA Honor Roll Middle School student, very dedicated and determine in my education, school, and goals. I participate in my schools Math, Science, and Technology Magnet program, school band, Peer Buddies, after school program, after school I also go to MMA classes Monday through Thursday and Saturdays too. And hopefully soon I will also be part of my schools Robotics team which I had an interview a few weeks ago.
My mom was planning on making me a birthday party when school was out but instead we are going to save that money and put it towards my tuition. I told her I give up my birthday party and my quienceañera to have the opportunity to make this educational trip that will last a life time.
Please help me get to Australia by donating a few dollars. I am asking for your financial support to help fund this trip. Thank you very much for supporting this wonderful educational and humanitarian opportunity. Anything would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your contributions.
I was recently recommended and accepted to participate as a student leader in the People to People Student Ambassador program to Sydney, Australia this summer. This 12-day foreign travel consists of meetings with government officials, interactions with other students my age, educational activities, and home stays with host families.
If you haven't heard of People to People, president Dwight D. Eisenhower founded it in 1956. He believed that if people from different cultures could come together in peace and friendship, eventually so would nations.
People to People ambassadors are carefully interviewed and evaluated before their acceptance into the program, and I'm honored to have been selected. I am excited to share my experience with my peers, family, and friends when I return. As an ambassador, I can earn high school and college credit because of the many educational elements in my program. This experience will increase my understanding of the world and give me the opportunity to learn about new places and cultures. The program tuition is $5,679.00, which includes meals, transportation, accommodations, and educational activities.

Did I mention that I also received my report card last week and my grades were all A's and only one B. I was also accepted to the Robos Lobos (Robotics club/team). I also receive Purple Glove range at my MMA class.
