My father and I have been planning a late model powertrain swap into my daily driven 1982 Trans Am for some time now. I have already adapted electronic fuel injection and a 2003 Corvette powertrain controller to the 406 that's currently in the car. The goal is a 2010 Camaro SS engine and six-speed automatic transmission. Progress will be posted and kept up to date. This will be a very intensive swap. We will be retaining variable valve timing and active fuel management features as well as fabricating completely new exhaust system. The 'wish list' includes all the parts required for the swap, save the donor car.

Funding this build and attending college at the same time is challenging so any help I can get is very much appreciated! This is such a huge learning experience as well. I do all my own wiring harnesses, engine and transmission work, tuning, etc.. My goal is a daily driver that is reliable, powerful, and gets excellent gas mileage, as well as gaining a wealth of knowledge about these late model engines/transmissions/computer systems!
