Neizain was born March 2, 2018. The first few months of his life, mom and dad were living together before Arianna (Neizains mother) and Neizain ended up moving to Maryland with William's mother, brother and sister for about 9 months. In the middle of March 2019, Arianna packed hers and Neizains belongings after a CPS case was opened against her for child neglect, verbal and physical violence against Neizain, child endangerment and self harm in the presence of Neizain.
Arianna specifically expressed to William's mother that she wouldn't go through the state for child support because she didnt want legal acknowledgement that he was the father or for him to have rights to see his son. As soon as Arianna was given custody of Neizain back, she fled Maryland.
For 3 months William had no idea where his son was and had no status of his health/well being. Arianna blocked William on all social media as well as blocking his phone number and all of his family's phone numbers.
When we found out her and the baby were back in Colorado, we hired a private investigator and spent $1,800 to find her and serve her with court papers. The court date was yesterday and paternity was granted to William but due to the fact that Arianna and Neizain live in a different county, paternity was all that could be established - not parental allocation and rights, we have to take that to court in a different county. Arianna expressed in the court room that she was going to leave the state with Neizain before rights/visitation could be established, leaving William yet again with no way of contacting the mother of his child and knowing about his son.
The decision was made this morning to move forward and fight for physical and legal custody regarding Neizain. William wants to have the opportunity to know and be able to help raise his son and Neizain equally deserves to know and feel the love of his father. William is not trying to alienate the mother of his child in any way, we are simply trying to raise awareness to the situation he is currently going through and establishing his rights as Neizains father. He isnt trying to take Neizain away from his mother, he only wants to be a part of his sons life. We secured a lawyer this morning and will be taking this back to court in Jefferson County with an attorney who works specifically for fathers rights.
The lawyer is working to establish an order immediately, keeping Arianna from leaving Colorado with Neizain unless she has written consent from William. Neither of us are the kind of people who ask for help but right now, we need it. We are currently $6,100 in the hole from the beginning of this process and depending on how cooperative Arianna is, this could potentially end up being an extremely lengthy process.
We have a long road ahead of us and many more court and legal fees in our near future.
Please - I ask you from the bottom of my heart - help us with these court and legal costs so that William can be reunited with Neizain and they both may have the father/son relationship they rightfully deserve.
