Racist Car Vandalism

I am a salesmen at Ferguson Buick GMC in Norman, OK. I am raising money for this sweet hearted man that got his baby completely torn up by racist coworkers. This older black man rolled into my dealership yesterday with this Corvette on a uhaul trailer. He was trying to back up the trailer to drop it off, so I ran over to him to help guide him back. As I got closer to the Corvette, I saw that it had been completely torn up and vandalized. The seats are completely torn up from knives. I was honestly speechless as I walked around the driver side and saw “KKK” etched into the glossy black paint on the door. This man was extremely nice to me and explained to me what happened. He said that he worked in the oilfield with about 10 white guys and they did this to his car. But, that didn’t really seem to bother him. He said “they did me a favor, now I can get my car all redone!” He was telling me how he was excited to get new headlights and a brand new paint job and interior all redone. Him and I talked for a little bit about the car and about how crazy people are to be racist like this. I tried to help him unhook the trailer but he refused to stand by and watch. He cranked that trailer up, unhooked it, thanked me for the help and he went on his way. It’s 2019 and people still continue to treat other people like this? Just by talking to this man for 10 minutes, I could tell he had a huge heart and much love for his car. I hope that whoever did this gets what is coming to them... this blows my mind!! This strong hearted man needs support. I want him to know that there are still good people out there. Help me make his car look better than ever!
