How do you send a letter to Santa?

As you all may or may not know, I am not a fan of Christmas.  The consumerism, the stress, etc. seems to be overbearing during the holiday season. 

However, my friend received this letter from a student at a school in Los Angeles*.  This bright 7-year old student did not write this letter as a classroom assignment, but on her own time and gave her teacher this letter because she was curious on how to get her letter to Santa Claus.

It really touched me since I, too, want a laptop for Christmas.  

The difference between my want and her want is that there were people around me growing up that could provide me with my Christmas wish-list.  

I no longer believe in Santa Claus but am probably a better person today because there was a time in my young childhood that I did.  

Let's help her get her letter to Santa Claus with small donations from people here and there.  Nothing fancy, I set a goal of $500 which should be enough to get her something to get going.  

Feel free to invite others to give and even if you don't give to this cause I hope you are finding ways to express the holiday spirit in positive ways.  There are many more children in very similar or worse circumstance, this girl just happened to come across my way.
