Life after Christian's Passing

Donation protected
Our 3 year old son Christian passed on August 16, 2019. He had been diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder known as hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis or HLH for short along with Chronic Epstein Barr Virus. We were told our sons EBV was reproducing in his TCells which is your body's source of defenses, so our son needed a bone marrow transplant. On May 30, 2019 our son had his transplant and unfortunately encountered other viruses that medication wasn't able to maintain. During this time we noticed a lump behind his ear and under his armpit, a biopsy was done and came back as PTLD Lymphoma and there was nothing doctors could do bc his body was so weak and inflamed. We were given days to a week at most but unfortunately our sweet boy could only handle 3 more days after being given the news.
When we were told how sick Christian was I made the decision to send our daughter, Sophia to Indiana to be taken care of by family who we knew could give her the attention my husband and I couldn't give her bc our son needed us at bedside. She was there 2 weeks and when Christian was spiraling down doctors told us it'd be best to bring her and spend Christian's last moments as a family. Shortly after his funeral our daughter had to return to school and after she left we've had to pay bills, hotels and food to keep us going and it saddens me that I have to resort to asking from  others for help once again but I don't feel like I have any other option, we're in a financial bind and we need to get to our daughter to be a family again.
Our sons death certificate had wrong information on it so it needed to be amended by the doctor that took care of him and just a normal death certificate takes 3 to 4 weeks to obtain but we're being told bc it needed to be amended it may take up to 3 to 4 months to receive and after that who knows how long his life insurance policy will take to come in to pay for the rest of his funeral arrangements. We stayed behind to take care of all these things but never did we anticipate having to run into the death certificate needing to be amended and it take longer.
Our daughter is asking for us and we give her a timing but here we are on our last $60 and we don't know how we're even getting up there. It's hard enough missing our son and wanting to be with our daughter but not knowing how, it's even more stressful.  The  feeling of helplessness is so familiar. I don't wish this on anyone.

We are asking you to find it in your heart to help us reunite with our sweet Sophia. It would mean so much to us. As happy as she is up there, she needs her Mommy and Daddy.

Thank you all so much for everything.
