Help me build a 1932 Ford Coupe!

Donation protected

Hello my name is Jay and I have a classic car addiction.

First let me start off by saying, there are a lot of good causes on this website which you should probably donate to before even reading this. People needing money for surgery, helping people who have been robbed or in an accident and many more who are desparate for money. I urge you to browse the categories of this site and donate to those people who are struggling.

Anyway, I've had this 1932 Ford Coupe project sitting in my Grandmother's garage for at least a year now with no work done to it. It's been collecting dust and every time I go over there I always make an effort to sit on a box in the driver's seat and imagine myself starting it up and driving it down the road.... it breaks my heart every time!

It currently sits with a 302 windsor crate motor, a tremec 5-speed gearbox, body mounted and most of the suspension work done as you can see in the main picture. The plan is to paint it gloss black, cover the non traditional motor and run it fully fendered with a touch of 1940's hot rod styling.

Here is an estimated price list of outstanding things left to do on the car.

-$4,000 LSD Ford 9inch diff purchased & fitted,
-$1,500 Steering column purchased & set up,
-$1,500 Brakes and components purchased & set up,
-$1,500 Block huggers purchased & exhaust fabricated,
-$3,000 Wiring,
-$3,000 Sheet metal/miscellaneous body parts,
-$6,000 Interior (custom),
-$15,000 Paint (gloss black),
-$2,000 Wheels and Tyres.

Total: $37,500

I've already sunk about $25,000 into it, I'm assuming at the end of the day it's going to cost a lot more then what is predicted above.

Reason why I dont have $37,500 more to sink into it? Well I'm spending all my $$$ on trying to grow my business, so when the money comes into my bank account the annoying sensible part of my brain always finds better things to spend it on. Unfortunately with that mindset, It'll take another 2 years to move it from the garage.

I urge you to donate to those causes where people are genuinely struggling. Donors to this have a very strong possibility that they'll get a ride in a 1932 Ford Hot Rod when it's all finished!
